1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
We’re excited to wrap up our Talk & Walk series with a hands-on bird netting experience with Professor Noah Perlut. Band birding—attaching a tiny numbered band on the leg of a bird—has revolutionized what we know about how individual birds use time and space.
Join Noah Perlut, Ornithologist in the Department of Environmental Studies at the University of New England, to experience these amazing animals up close and learn more about bird banding. Noah and his students run a fall migration bird banding station in Biddeford every September and October.
Location is TBD – we’ll post soon here!
We hope you’ll join us for this unique experience. Photographers are welcome!
Of note: There is no library part of this program. We’ll go directly to the field at 1:00 and Noah will talk as we watch the netting.
