Animal Advocates Club, for grades 5 – 8

puppy in teacupFelicia Mazzone, from the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) will work with animal-loving middle-schoolers on projects that help shelter animals, promote animal adoption, and educate the public about caring for animals. She will bring a different live animal friend from the shelter with her each month, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and more.

This year, we’ll also have special incentives for completing service projects and attending meetings, and an opportunity to visit the shelter!

Please register in advance for each meeting you plan to attend. That we can open the group up to more participants, since not everyone can make every meeting.

At this month’s meetingClub members will create poems for dog, cat, and critter cages at the shelter to help the animals get adopted.
