About Us

The Friends of the Thomas Memorial Library (FOTML) is a division of the Thomas Memorial Library Foundation, an non-profit organization founded in 2005 to support the library and its services. FOTML is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers. Our annual Fall Book & Bake Sale, and our Lobby Book Sale in the spring and summer months raise funds that directly benefit library programming, collection maintenance, and other projects.

Would you like to donate items for our sale?

FOTML accepts donations of books and other items year-round. Donations may be placed in the donation bin located in the entryway of the library (please see library staff for a drop-off location if you have large or numerous boxes of items to donate.)

FOTML gratefully accepts the following:

  • Gently used books--hardcover and paperback
  • Audiobooks on tape and CD
  • DVDs and VHS tapes
  • Music cassettes and CDs

We regret that we do not accept:

  • Magazines
  • Textbooks
  • Encyclopedia sets
  • Reader's Digest books

Would you like to volunteer?

Members of FOTML meet on Monday mornings in the library's Community Room to sort and categorize donations. Volunteers are always needed to help with the Fall Book & Bake Sale as well. If you are interested in joining FOTML or becoming a volunteer, please contact Valerie Hall.
