10:45 – 1:30 p.m.
Please join us on Weds, Oct 18th for a two-part writing workshop with Maine Authors Publishing (MAP).
Part I – 10:45-11:30
Working with Local Libraries to Market, Present, and Sell Your Writing
Deborah Gould, author of The Eastern, which was a finalist for the Maine Literary Awards in Fiction, will talk about ways authors can interact with, support, and participate in library communities to share their writing as an independent author.
Part II – 12:15-1:30
Getting Your Work Published
After a short break for lunch (bring a brown bag, or grab something close nearby), Kristine Wagstaff, Publishing & Marketing Coordinator for Maine Authors Publishing (MAP), will talk about the local independent publishing option with MAP, while also outlining the steps every indie author should consider when publishing.
If you’ve written a book and are considering publishing independently, these two talks will get you started with helpful advice and plenty of time for questions and answers. You can register for one or both talks. Please include your choice on the “Comments” section on the registration form.
