Museum and Park Passes

The Library has many passes to great local museums and parks.  Below is a listing and some information on each pass.  If you have additional questions or would like to know a pass’s availability, please contact the Library at 799-1720.

All passes are generously sponsored by the Thomas Memorial Library Foundation.

Maine Historical Society
This pass may be checked out for 3 days and must be returned to the Library.  It gives up to 4 people:
~ Free admission to the Museum Galleries
~ $5 tickets to the Wadsworth-Longfellow House (normally $15 for adults and $13 for children/seniors)
~ $5 day use fee to MHS’s Research Library (normally $10)
~ 10% off purchases in the Museum Store

Maine Maritime Museum (Bath)
This pass is issued for a single day and does not need to be returned to the Library.  It gives up to 8 people in a single family group free admission to the museum.

Maine State Park Pass
This pass may be checked out for 3 days and must be returned to the Library.  It gives one vehicle (up to 17 passengers) free admission to a Maine State Park.  
Please Note: The Park Pass is not accepted at the following locations: Acadia National Park, Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Baxter State Park, Maine Wildlife Park, Penobscot Narrows Observatory, Penobscot River Corridor, Peacock Beach, Scarborough Beach, Songo Lock, or Swan Island.

Portland Museum of Art
This pass is issued for a single day and does not need to be returned to the Library.  It gives up to 2 adults and 6 children free admission to the museum.

Portland Observatory
This pass is issued for a single day and does not need to be returned to the Library.  It gives up to 4 people free admission to the Observatory.

Tate House Museum
This pass is issued for a single day and does not need to be returned to the Library.  It gives up to 4 people a free tour of the museum and 10% off gift shop items.
