thank-you-colorOn November 4, the voters approved the renovation plan, and the building committee and staff would like to thank the citizens of Cape Elizabeth for their ongoing support of the Thomas Memorial Library. Late Summer Hay, by Rose Kennealy

Paintings by local artist Rose Kennealy will be on display the library’s gallery space this month. A reception will be held after the library closes on Friday, November 7 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Rose Kennealy is a Maine coast landscape artist who often paints the interface of the land, sea and sky. She was educated in the Imaging Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology and has been painting in Maine for 15 years. Rose is a colorist whose images are often reported to make people feel happy. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections across the United States.

Register to Read to a Dog online

Winston and MaddieWe have a new, easier-to-use, online registration system for our Read to a Dog program. Children in grades K – 8 can register for 15 minute time slots to read to Winston or Maddie, the library’s two therapy dogs. Winston, a Golden Retriever, is here on Wednesdays after school, and Maddie, a Black Lab, is here on Thursdays after school. For more information about the Read to a Dog program, please click here.
