We’re excited to bring you the toe-tapping excellence of Music and Dance from the Great American Songbook presented by The Modernistics. This stellar jazz ensemble from Boston performs hits by Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington and other master tunesmiths, including high-energy numbers like Sunny Side of the Street, Paper Moon, Bye Bye Blackbird, Lulu’s Back in Town, and It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing.
The Modernistics are the acclaimed singing and dancing team of Ted and Pamela Powers, with virtuoso jazz musicians Peter H. Bloom on flute, Mark Leighton on guitar, and Dave Zox on double-bass.
Our Summer Concerts are a wonderful outdoor gathering for patrons of all ages. Bring a blanket to picnic, or chairs to sit on under a canopy of trees. We’ll have cookies and lemonade available for purchase as we enjoy great music on a delightful summer evening.*
*In the event of rain, the show still goes on – we’ll just move inside.
