Where Do We Go From Here?
Update: A large crowd gathered at Town Hall for the May 31st meeting. Read our post about this. Read the Portland Press Herald article.
Join us on Thursday evening for a conversation about the future of the library
Over 1,600 patrons visit the Thomas Memorial Library in any given week. Yet, the library building suffers from rot, water damage, structural weakness, cramped space, inadequate ventilation, electrical and ADA violations, among other concerns. How do we best address these issues?
Please join the Town Council and Library Trustees for an informal public conversation about the future of the Thomas Memorial Library. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers. We are eager to hear from everyone in the community, so please come to share your views, questions, and concerns.
For information on the current issues and background on how we’ve arrived at this point in the project, please visit our Building Project page.
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday night at Town Hall!
