You’ll learn: Basic fungal biology, the culinary and ecological benefits of gardening with mushrooms, growing techniques, tools and materials needed as well as the appropriate mushroom species to use, the best times to prepare, plant, and expect harvests, and how to keep your garden healthy throughout the season. Pull up a toadstool and join us at the library as the Cape Elizabeth Garden Club presents this month’s speaker, Louis Giller. When it comes to mushrooms, he’s a real Champignon, and we think you’ll like him–he’s a real fungi. And if you don’t, well, he’ll grow on you.
