Die Well Death Education logoOne of the library’s goals is to connect people with each other around topics of importance to their lives as individuals and as members of our community. One of the most vital, and often avoided topics, is death. We are dismayed that the very talented facilitator, Cape resident Leona Oceania, has decided to discontinue offering our monthly Death Education Series, and our monthly Pond Cove Death Café.

We recognize the tremendous, and even life-changing, value these programs have had for members of our community, and are actively looking for another facilitator to take Leona’s place. Her Death Education curriculum was extraordinarily well-planned and the result of her own vast knowledge and passion for her subject. It is unlikely we will be able to find someone to duplicate that program, but we are hopeful we can find someone well-qualified and equally passionate to facilitate a monthly Death Café.

If you already signed up to be part of the library’s Death Education mailing list, we will be sure to let you know as soon as we are able resume programs around this topic. If you are not part of the mailing list, but would like to be notified when we are able to offer death education programming again, please fill out the form below
