National Voter Education Week (NVEW) is an open-source, nonpartisan voter education campaign held the first week of October that equips voters with the tools, information, and confidence they need to cast their ballots. NVEW is a resource hub for leaders of any community and context who want to give their networks the information they need to cast their ballot with confidence. During this week of interactive education, voters learn to find their polling location, understand their ballot, make a plan to vote in person or by mail, and more.
Launched in 2020, NVEW works in conjunction with the other Civic Holidays to help guide voters through the entire voter engagement process – from registration to turnout – in fun and creative ways.

Stop by the library to register to vote or update your voter registration:

10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Absentee ballot applications will also be available.Current and new voters may complete a request form; ballots will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the election.

Can’t come to the library on Voter Registration Day?
Cape Elizabeth residents not yet registered to vote may register at Town Hall Council Chambers prior to Election Day on Mondays 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., Tuesdays – Fridays 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., or at the polls on Election Day, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Proof of identity and Cape Elizabeth residency required.
