Kevin Martin is a wooden boat builder and the author of a new field guide to New England’s big trees. He will share stories of big trees around the region, along with information about the history, management, and caretaking of these impressive living parts of our landscape. From old growth pine and hemlock forests, to a horse chestnut in Portsmouth that was planted by a signer of the Declaration of Independence in 1776!
