Ikebana Workshop, with Sachiko Clough

Join us for an introduction to the Japanese art of flower arranging with Sachiko Clough. Originally from Osaka, Sachiko is a certified Japanese language teacher and also holds licenses in Ikebana and Japanese tea ceremony. Ikebana is a meditative art form, in which the consideration of lines, dimension, order and precision inform the arrangement of flowers and plants.  All materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring any flowers or greenery they’d like to use, especially peonies, lilies, hostas, and other plants with thick, sturdy stems. Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required.
